Flushing Cemetery
In 1906, a fire destroyed all of the records of the Flushing Cemetery. These
records were restored by walking through the cemetery and reading the head
stones on the graves. If there was no grave stone then there was no readily
available record for the person. These enormous reconstruction effort was
spearheaded by Mr. Michael Taylor a member of the Flint Genealogical Society.
Literally, the records have been recreated from "reading the cemetery" and
searching through other records. Thank You Michael, we all owe you a debt of
gratitude.
